Talking to our coworkers about shared experiences, goals and concerns will help build a solid foundation for our union. Would you help grow our union by recording a short video of yourself answering a few questions?
Your video may be shared on our website, on social media or on other platforms, because hearing your story may inspire other Home Depot associates to get involved in our movement.
Start by telling us a little bit about you: your name, what store and department you work in, how long you’ve worked there, or any other details you’d like to share.
Here are some other ideas to include:
- What do you like about working at Home Depot and what would you change about it?
- Do you have concerns about things like benefits, wages, safety and scheduling?
- What are you hoping to improve about your job or your working conditions by forming a union?
You have up to two minutes to record, and can re-record your video if you need to. You will need to have the camera and audio enabled on your computer/mobile device, and it’s best to find a nice quiet area where you can be comfortable. Once you are happy with your video, click to submit. You can also upload a pre-recorded video file if you prefer not to use our browser-based recorder.
Speaking up is the only way to make change, and your vocal support for a union is protected under the National Labor Relations Act. It may seem scary to make a public statement, but Home Depot is legally prohibited from retaliating against you for it. Thank you for raising your voice.
